Bon Vaisakha Puja

  • 19940 Southwest Stafford Road West Linn, OR, 97068 United States (map)

The Board of Directors of the Oregon Cambodian Buddhist Society, Inc. cordially invites all members of our community to celebrate Bon Vaisakha Puja, the year’s greatest religious holiday, which commemorates the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and Parinibbana (death).

This commemoration includes the Bon Pka Prak or traditional Money Tree Ceremony. As Bon Vaisakha Puja begins, many Khmer rise early to visit the temple to offer food to the monks and to receive the merit of their generosity. Devotees undertake processions around the Pravihia building of the Bon Pka Prak ceremony to raise funds for operations and continuing improvements of Watt Dhammarangsey. Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated. May the Angel of 2024 bless you by bringing peace, prosperity, good health, and happiness.
