Venerable Nhang Noeung (Head Monk)
Venerable Nhang Noeung, affectionately known as "Lok Kru," was born on November 8, 1957, in Tra Vinh (Preas Tra Pang), Khmer Krom. He was borned to a family of seven sisters. His spiritual journey commenced when he was ordained as a Samanera (novice monk) at the age of 18 in 1976, and later ascended to the esteemed rank of Bhikkhu (senior monk) in 1978 in Khmer Krom.
In 1988, Ven. Noeung relocated to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he resided at Wat Neakavon before finding a home at Wat Utaravutey. His dedication and commitment to his spiritual path led him to assume the role of Chauathika Assistant in 1991.
Since January 15, 1997, Ven. Noeung has been an esteemed resident Monk at Wat Dhammarangsey, where he continues to guide and inspire the community with his wisdom and compassion.
