The Monks and Board of Directors of Wat Dhammarangsey warmly invite all members and friends to participate in the Kathina Celebration.

This special Robe-Offering ceremony, initiated by the Buddha, encourages the care and support of monks who have observed the traditional three-month rainy season retreat (Vassa or Buddhist Lent). In keeping with this tradition, the lay community of Wat Dhammarangsey will offer Kathina Robes to the monks.

10/19/2024 - Saturday

6:00 pm - A gathering of laypersons to honor the Triple Gem, take the Five Precepts, and recite the Paritta chants.

7:30 pm - Dhamma Lecture (Tessana).

10/20/2024 - Sunday

9:30 am - Honoring the Triple Gem. Taking the Five Precepts.

11:00 am - Alms round

12:00 noon - Serving lunch for all

01:00 pm - Kathina Procession, followed by the Robe Offering and Blessing Ceremony.
